Two more bronze for Indian pugilists

New Delhi: India's tally of bronze medals increased by two at the European Grand Prix event in Usti Nad Labem, Czech Republic after Manoj Kumar and Jai Bhagwan lost their respective semi-final bouts.

Jai Bhagwan lost 2-5 to Ireland's Eric Donovan in the light weight 60kg division. Manoj, the reigning light welter weight national champion, was beaten 0-2 by another Irishman Philip Supplisse.

Earlier, Olympic bronze medallist Vijender Singh (75kg) had also lost in the semi-finals to settle for a bronze in the event.

Only, Suranjoy Singh (51kg) has made the finals of the event.
