In a daring act, a mill worker on Monday brought a poisonous snake which bit him to a government hospital and got himself admitted for proper treatment.
The 32-year old man from Selvapuram was bitten on the wrist by the snake when he tried to catch it on hearing screams of children who noticed it.
However, without losing courage, Ravi caught it, stuffed it in a gunny bag and came to the hospital, police said.
Doctors gave him first aid and administered an injection for the snake bite, even as the snake was handed over to the zoo in the city.
After coming to know from zoo authorities that the snake was highly poisonous, doctors shifted him to ICU, where he is being treated, they said.
