Kiran Kumar Reddy to kick off 'Prajapatham' programme tomorrow
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will inaugurate a dedicated mass contact programme on April 15 at Nakkapalli in Visakhapatnam district.

The drive - 'Prajapatham' (on people's path) - is an "interaction between the public, their elected representatives and a team of public servants".

'Prajapatham' focuses on a set of priority issues, appropriate for the time of the year and area/habitation concerned, a release from the Chief Minister's Office said.

In order to conduct the programme successfully across the state, the government has already released Rs 7.82 crore for 23 districts.

Besides Rs 1600.31 crore is released as an input subsidy, which will be distributed among farmers from the drought-hit areas during 'Praja Patham' programme. The amount will be deposited online directly into the farmers' accounts.

The release said 737 model schools will be established spending Rs 2,200 crore. Under the Prime Minister's Grameen Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), additional funds to the tune of Rs 265 crore are also being released by the Centre to Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister will attend the 'Prajapatham' programmes from 11.15 am to 12.30 pm at Nakkapalli.
