Wedding videos are meant to capture a bride and groom's happiest moments so they can relive their special day for years to come. However, for one San Francisco couple, a clip from their ceremony seems to have become such a source of distress and shame, they are now suing their wedding videographer.

According to a report by NBC, the videographer, from George Street Photo and Video, shared a clip of the groom on YouTube without prior permission. The video in question, which apparently went viral, shows the groom dancing and falling over in an inebriated state at his wedding.

The suit has been filed by the bride anonymously and it says the footage has left her "shocked, mortified, anguished, humiliated and shamed," reports NBC.

The couple realized the video had gone viral after a friend of the groom in Ireland saw it. "Within a few days it was up to like two million views," she told NBC and the comments and articles that resulted from it were extremely hurtful.

While the footage is owned by the videographer and his company, the suit says posting it online was an "intentional infliction of emotional distress." The bride hopes the suit will act as a warning and help others.
