Ivanka Trump Misquotes Albert Einstein On Twitter, Mocked For It

Ivanka Trump's tweet from 2013 is in the limelight again.

First daughter Ivanka Trump has found herself the target of Twitter trolling again after an old tweet she wrote misquoting Albert Einstein resurfaced on Sunday. "If the facts don't fit the theory, change the facts." - Albert Einstein" wrote Ms Trump in June 2013. However, Greenlight, the official representative of Albert Einstein's estate, pointed out yesterday that the scientist never actually said those words.  This was followed by a book recommendation for Ms Trump: The Ultimate Quotable Einstein.

Since the fact came to light, Ms Trump's tweet has been inundated with people mocking her and sharing other 'fake' quotes.

Some credited Ivanka Trump for being the original advocate of 'alternative facts', a term popularized by Kellyanne Conway.

Ms Trump, however, is not the only person to misattribute this quote to Albert Einstein, since various websites also credit it to the scientist.
