The Rolls-Royce plunged into a 6-foot-deep sinkhole

In a horrifying incident in China, a Rolls-Royce Phantom car plunged head-first into a 6-foot-deep sinkhole in the middle of a road. According to Channel News Asia, the incident took place in Harbin, the capital city of China's northeastern Heilongjiang province on Sunday, October 1.

"I was waiting at the traffic light here and was just about to start the car as the light changed to green, when the road suddenly caved in," the owner of the car said.

He was forced to climb out of the window to escape, reports the Mirror. While the owner managed to escape unharmed, the Rolls-Royce has been damaged.

Local authorities later helped lift his car out, but did not say what caused the damage.
