A day after US President Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony on January 20, former POTUS Barack Obama said on Twitter that he was 'off on a quick vacation' with wife Michelle. The Obamas have since been vacationing with business tycoon Richard Branson and pictures from the holiday show the group having a great time. However, what's stopping traffic on social media isn't just the pictures but what Obama's wearing in them. Dressed in a regular t-shirt, pair of shorts and flip-flops, it's Obama's cap, flipped backwards, that netizens can't seem to get over.
A video on Twitter that shows Barack and Michelle Obama walking by the beach is going insanely viral. Many people, including the person who shared the video, believe the cap, worn backwards, proves Obama's left politics, never to return.
Since being shared on February 1, the video has collected over 1.5 lakh 'likes' and more than 78,000 retweets.
"Once you go hat back you never go back back," says one commenter on the video. "Yeah, that's the look of a guy who can finally say ... 'not my problem' says another. "If he grows a goatee, he's never ever, ever, ever coming back," suggested one Twitter user. "They are soooo done! Lol. This makes me sad and gives me life all at the same time," another user says.
If it wasn't already clear, people really miss Barack Obama.
