A dispute over a piece of biryani at a local eatery in Lucknow turned violent, leaving a customer injured and another person, reportedly a lawyer, hurt while trying to intervene.
According to a police complaint and a video that has since gone viral on social media, the incident took place when a customer objected to the piece of meat served to him and asked for it to be replaced. What began as a minor disagreement quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.

The shop owner, identified as Rizwan, along with around 10 to 12 members of staff, allegedly attacked the customer. The situation worsened when another individual, said to be a lawyer, stepped in to stop the assault but was also beaten during the altercation. Reports suggest the customer suffered a head injury, while the intervening individual sustained a broken arm.
Lucknow Police said a case has been registered based on the victim's complaint and the viral video evidence. The charges have been filed under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including 191(2), 110, 115(2), and 352. Authorities have stated that further investigation is underway and action will be taken against those involved.
