After plenty of recent movie promotional rounds and the Kunal Rawal - Arpita Mehta wedding over the weekend, we could sure use a palette cleanser i.e. a celebrity look that is chic and balanced without veering toward being excessive.

It's as if Yami Gautam read our minds because that's exactly what she brought to the table with her latest outing in the city. The Bollywood actress is known to be one of the most grounded celebrities around and her style isn't any different either. To make an appearance at an event, Yami was seen wearing a delightfully fresh pastel coloured midi dress. It featured a fitted silhouette with thick straps and a keyhole cutout over the chest. Over its mid-length hem was a yellow toned ruffle to add a bit of pizzazz to the dress. Yami added in nude pumps and hoop earrings. Her fresh faced makeup look complemented the curls in her hair.

It needs to be said that the more simple an outfit gets, the more tricky it is to make a statement with it. Yami however, has that ability to turn heads with her minimally chic looks. Not only is her pastel dress a wonderfully stylish pick, she didn't need to go overboard with makeup or accessories to make an impact in it.
