One of the most eagerly anticipated things in the run-up to the big day has got to be the all-girls bachelorette trip. And the best part? It's not just the bride who gets to have all the fun - her group of besties get a chance to let loose as well. It's a bonding experience like no other, and deserves a destination fit for the memorable occasion. Don't you agree? So if you're about to start planning a bachelorette trip (for yourself or your bestie), here are three amazing cities you should definitely consider.
1. Gili Islands, Indonesia
If you want to have a trip like no other, click pictures that make all of your followers wish they were you and make memories that will last you a lifetime, Gili Islands is the place for you. You can fly to either Lombok or Bali for about Rs 13,000 one way (if you book on time) and make your way from there in a ferry. The flight will take about 10-11 hours with 1 stop and the ferry from Bali be another 1 hour 15 minutes. It'll all be worth it once you get there though. Unique experiences like horse riding in the sea, and boat parties with your gang are par for the course in this magical place. You can pick between the three islands according to the kind of holiday you're planning (We recommend Gili Trawangan is you want to party 24x7, Gili Meno if you just want to treat yourself to a luxurious and relaxing stay, and Gili Air if you want a bit of both) - or even better, just go island hopping and get the best of all three.
2. Koh Samui, Thailand
Koh Samui is the ultimate destination in Thailand for an all-girls' trip. Everything you ever imagined your last trip as a single woman to be can become a reality there. Soaking in the sun, lazing around and sipping mimosas on the beach? Check. A night on the town, bar hopping and bingeing on street food? Also check. You can even rent a villa by the beach for your squad and check off some crazy water sports while you're at it. Four days in the city are enough to make you feel like a whole new person - but go on and plan for a week if you're a water baby and usually find it hard to leave a beach too soon. And you definitely won't end up going over budget since the food, essential and massages are pretty reasonable. Do step out of your resort for meals and spa treatments though as the resort will probably have an inflated rate. The beginning of the year (January to March) is the best time to visit. The flight time is less than 8 hours (including a stop) from India on an average and you can book your tickets for as less as Rs 16,000 if you plan ahead.
3. Boracay, Philippines
If you want to go parasailing until sunset, partying on the beach until sunrise, or both, with your favourite girls - Boracay might be just the right place for you. A great way to make the best of your time there is to visit around a full-moon, the parties are known to be legendary. And if you can manage to swing by Manjuyod Sandbar in Negros Oriental for a day or two, we believe the trip will become the best one you've ever been on. It's being called the 'Maldives of Philippines', with crystal clear water, picturesque cottages and probably the whitest sand you'll ever find. The best, and most economical, way of getting there is to fly to the capital, Manila (this will take about 10 hours, and cost you Rs 25,000 approx.), maybe spend a day or two there, and then take another flight (about an hour long) to Caticlan. Boracay is just a 15-minute boat ride away.
