If it wasn't obvious enough, it's wedding season across Bollywood. It may only be the start of spring but Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul, Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra and may more celebrities have already tied the knot this year. Count Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker amongst them. Known for her strong opinions, Swara married activist Fahad Ahmad in a quiet civil ceremony last month. This week, the couple threw a wedding reception in Delhi which was attended by the creme de la creme of the country's political circles. The guest list saw everyone from Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal to Shashi Tharoor and Jaya Bachchan in attendance; making for a very distinguished crowd from the usual celebrity weddings.

Swara and Fahad were dressed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla for their wedding reception. Fahad wore a resham and gold vasli sherwani from the designer label, a chic and muted choice. It was Swara who brought in the vibrance with a colourful bridal ensemble for the function. As mentioned by the designers on Instagram, Swara wore "a zardozi marodi ghagra on red georgette, hand-embroidered using tamba tikki multi-colored resham. A beautiful dupatta crafted with borders and booties is paired with the same."

Stepping away from traditional hues, Swara incorporated plenty of life into her look with her pink blouse and blocks of red and green throughout. Her stone studded jewellery of a necklace set, maang tikka, earrings and bangles also had touches of green and pink throughout. Swara's makeup look was glowing and radiant with a shimmery bronze eye. How's that for a bride who is full of joy!
