In A Lehenga And Shirt, Kajol Shows Us How To Ace Fusion Style

With Helicopter Eela slated to hit the theatres on September 7, fans of Bollywood superstar Kajol have no doubt been eagerly looking forward to seeing her on the big screen once again. Thanks to the promotional events for the film, that before we get to see Kajol charm everyone with her acting skills, she has already been stealing all attention with her standout style statements. The actress has been setting trendsetting looks - from sporting exquisitely crafted sarees and floral printed kurtas to monochrome jumpsuits and statement jackets - and making us believe that she really is a pro at everything.

What we also love about Kajol is that she never shies away from experimenting with her style choices. A perfect case in point is her recent look for a promotional event of her film where she showed us how to wear a lehenga in a whole new stylish way. Why worry about a blouse when you can team a statement lehenga with a shirt and look chic as ever? Right?

Dressed in a gorgeous lehenga from Tarun Tahiliani's couture line, Kajol paired it beautifully with a monochrome silk shirt to let all attention be on the lehenga. The lehenga had a black base with heavily embroidered floral patterns in ivory and pink. The metallic thread work in gossamer textiles on the lehenga and the classic shirt created a stylish fusion. To elevate her look further and add some sparkles, Kajol sported a statement choker and chunky embellished bangles while styling her hair in a chic ponytail.

This isn't the only time when we saw Kajol team a lehenga/skirt with a chic shirt. On another occasion the actress sported a colourpop skirt and balanced it like a pro with a printed shirt. From Label Anushree, the woven skirt and hand printed shirt added a quirky edge to her look, and Kajol wore it with statement jewellery and sleek hairdo.
