Come December and all of our festival hats begin to come out of the closet. No matter where in the world we live and what religion we were born into, Christmas feels like holiday time. The shining lights and ginormous, extravagant decoration everywhere you go - from the mall to a street market - have a way of making even the coldest hearts melt into a pile of Christmas mush. We have to admit, though, amidst all of the festivity and cheer we see all around us, one of our favourite things to do is to scroll through our newsfeeds for how our favourite celebrities are celebrating.
Here are a few of our favourite celebrities who have already begun to spread some cheer:
1. Alia Bhatt
The darling of Bollywood seems to do most things right. From her choice in films to the clothes she wears and even the holidays she takes - everything seems to be perfect in Alia's world, undoubtedly sparking envy in even the most content souls among us (we know we're guilty of the sin!). As Exhibit A, we give you her very first picture celebrating Christmas. We're not sure if it's that cute Santa headband she's wearing or the fact that Karan Johar is her best friend, maybe it's a bit of both. But we can't help wishing we were Alia Bhatt after seeing this photo.
2. Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra decided to warm up her house in NYC (where she lives with her little doggy, Diana) by lighting up this Christmas tree well before Christmas-time. While many in the West start to light up their trees well in advance, it was refreshing to see Peecee pull hers out too. Well, you know what they say... When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
Priyanka and her friends didn't just stop at the tree. Her friends helped decorate her with a pretty red ribbon too.
3. Shilpa Shetty
While seeing Shilpa Shetty's Sunday binge is always a treat, seeing her play indulgent mom to son Viaan Raj Kundra is even more so. Viaan often features in Shilpa's Instagram posts, and their loving bond is adorable to look at. A few months ago, Shilpa and Raj Kundra went out of their way to make a hand-made Raavan for their son on Dussehra.
So there was no reason for them to lag behind on the Christmas celebrations. Their Christmas tree is up and glittering - and their little boy seems beyond thrilled with it.
4. Manushi Chhillar
Manushi Chhillar has been the girl that no one has been able to stop talking about since her win at the Miss World pageant this year. While Manushi won many hearts with her final answer at Miss World, what is taking the world by storm at the moment are her holiday pictures. Manushi seems to be travelling the world and having a gala time. From the looks of it, Manushi has been spending a lot of time in London, where Christmas festivities are at their peak. Miss World seems to be loving the festivities, as are we, if only vicariously, through her Instagram posts.
5. Lisa Haydon
Lisa Haydon might be making it onto your newsfeeds, courtesy her latest platinum hair colour - but even the mixed, sometimes ridiculously OTT, reactions can't stop the beauty from enjoying Christmas-time with her family. Lisa's making the most of the winter festivities in London. She can be seen having the time of her life at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park.
Her Christmas tree is all lit up too - we'd say it's a valiant effort on her part, with a little baby in tow.
