Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanada's business endeavours as a young entrepreneur need no introduction. Besides harbouring a passion for her profession, the 26-year-old also has a penchant for travel. Her latest destination of visit offered us a glimpse into the beauty of Japan. Her recent visit to the Japanese city of Kyoto was worth bookmarking. Sharing a carousel of “Postcards” from the location on Instagram, Navya offered her followers a glimpse into her holiday diaries. She dropped by the quaint Byodo-in Hoodo temple, also known as the Phoenix Hall. Constructed on a small island, the picturesque place was encircled with lush greenery, pink blossoms, and a greenish-hued pond. The deft architectural brilliance was a bonus. Navya engaged in admiring the pristine views and making tea in a traditional Japanese process.

1. Fushimi Inari-Taisha Shrine

This one is a must-visit place in Kyoto with a special attraction of 1000 orange torii or gates. The cobbled pathway winds through a long stretch that will take you a few hours to reach the shrine. On your way, soak in the beauty of the emerald-green forests, fox statues and miniature torii. 

2. Tetsugaku No Michi/Philosopher's Path

For a relaxing stroll, the Philosopher's Path must be included in your bucket list. This canal-side walkway attracts tourists during the spring and fall season when the trees shed cherry blossoms and the paths are filled with pink flowers. 

3. Arashiyama Bamboo Grove

Experience a surreal phenomenon in this thickly-clustered bamboo forest where the wind passes through the bamboo, making a whistling sound. There's also a Zen temple for those wishing to indulge in spirituality.

4. Nishiki Market

For a local culinary tour, you have to visit the Nishiki Market. Housing over 100 restaurants and shops, some specialties that you can try here include crackers, pickles, tea, fish, Beef Sushi, Senbei, Tamagoyaki and Matcha Sweets. 

5. Kamo River

If you visit Kyoto this summer, a casual walk against the banks of the Kamo River will help you beat the heat. Heron, crane, and egret spotting are common in this area. You can also enjoy beautiful sunset views from here as well.
