Whether in his opulent Mumbai store, the uncut diamonds in his bridal jewelry line or his marvelous garments, Sabyasachi Mukherjee's eye for detail and flair for design is unmatched. So when dressing India's finest personalities and showcasing his collections on the ramp, there's a minor detail about the designer's look that often goes unnoticed; his signature beauty look.
Along with flaunting his traditional wear and jewellery, most Sabyasachi wearers flaunt one trademark look - flawless skin with a hint of warmth on the cheeks, dark eyes, slick hair with a strong centre part and sometimes to finish it off, a bindi. Here are the many, many times our favourite celebrities chose Sabyasachi's signature beauty look along with his designs.
1. Deepika Padukone
For the Padmavati trailer launch, Deepika Padukone looked resplendent in black and gold while wearing her hair in a centre parted low bun with glowing skin and a tiny black bindi.
While choosing a refreshing look in a floral saree, Deeps sports the beauty look yet again with winged eyeliner and mauve lips, minus a bindi.
2. Anushka Sharma
For Sagarika Ghatge and Zaheer Khan's recent wedding, not only was Sagarika a Sabyasachi bride, but wedding guest, Anushka Sharma, too wore a gorgeous embellished lehenga from the designer. Anushka went with dark eyes, a low bun with a centre parting and a black bindi.
For Anushka, though, it isn't a recent trend. For her movie promotions last year, she paired a similar centre parted bun with burgundy lips while wearing a white and red toned anarkali by Sabyasachi.
Previously, with a brightly printed lehenga too, the actress chose the cleanly parted bun with a hair accessory and kohl rimmed eyes.
3. Kangana Ranaut
Kangana Ranaut even slicked down her famous curls to sport Sabya's trademark look. Centre parted bun, a small bindi and creamy peach lips matched perfectly with her rose toned saree.
4. Vidya Balan
For her Cannes outing a few years ago, Vidya Balan was sporting the hairstyle with defined brows, a black bindi and heavy earrings.
5. Nita Ambani
It isn't only Bollywood that's hooked to the look! Nita Ambani favoured it too and paired the neat bun and red bindi with her Sabyasachi lehenga and shawl for a wedding.
6. Bipasha Basu
This summer, Bipasha Basu paired a floral saree from the designer with his signature look. The sleek hairdo and bindi along with shimmery eyes and her favourite red lip made sure that Bipasha looked stunning.
7. Kalki Koechlin
Kalki went ahead and wore the centre parted bun with minimal makeup along with Sabyasachi couture to an international film festival.
8. Aditi Rao Hydari
Aditi shows us that you can wear the signature look even with western wear as she pairs her floral gown with a centre parted low ponytail, dark eyes and full brows.
9. Kajal Aggarwal
Proving that minimal and elegant is the way to go, Kajal Aggarwal pairs her red and gold Sabyasachi saree with the neatly parted bun, a black bindi and minimal makeup. Traditional perfection, this look!
10. Lisa Ray
For one of her rare appearances, Lisa Ray complemented her floral saree with the Sabya signature bun hairstyle, nude makeup and bronze eyes.
