Dia Mirza Reveals How She Used To Play Dress Up In Her Mother's Sarees
Dia Mirza's fashion sense isn't easy breezy in style but also to recreate.

Dia Mirza on her latest post talks about how she grew up seeing her mother wear beautiful sarees. This is the belief instilled in her to wear sarees of all kinds even today. She spoke about how her mother invariably started keeping her "not so good" sarees for Dia to play with as she molded herself into different characters from the comforts of her home. Dia Mirza who is also an environmentalist also took this time out to speak up about why being #VocalForLocal is truly the need of the hour as she graced our feeds in this beautiful polka dot cotton saree from Maku Textiles which she paired with an indigo cotton blouse and accessorised it with a matching earring and ring set. Dia Mirza has always supported sustainable fashion brands and even as times change throughout the world, she doesn't budge from her belief.

I used to love wearing my Mother's sarees as a child and play. Mom kept a few sarees for me to wear lest i got to the ‘good' ones and destroyed them! I'd tie a knot in the first wrap and then fold pleats, wrap the pallo around my waist and play different parts. Some days i'd be a teacher, some days a lawyer, some days a labourer... imaging a classroom full of children, a court case or a construction site. Im told i would be every part as i spent hours alone keeping myself entertained! Much later when i started doing acting workshops I discovered this to be an integral part of workshops! Imagining, creating and responding to imaginary circumstances and people. What FUN! How many of you as children created make believe situations and played different parts? #ActorsLife #LookThePart #Play #DoBeDoBeDo #ThrowBack #Tuesday #VocalForLocal #SareeNotSorry #MakuTextiles Outfit courtesy : @makutextiles Jewelry courtesy : @hyperbole_accessories Hair and makeup by : @shraddhamishra8 Styled by : @theiateckchandaney Managed by : @jainisha_shah @exceedentertainemnt Photos : @manojstillwala
