5 Delicious Mocktails For The Teetotalers At Your Parties

Why should the drinkers have all the fun?

5 Delicious Mocktails For The Teetotalers At Your Parties
Non-alcoholic beverages can be just as fun.

It's holiday season and also party season. You know what most people have in common at these parties? A glass of something in their hands (ahem, the contents are mostly alcoholic). With all the fun stuff people are guzzling, it's not fair for the teetotalers to be left with just boring, old cold drinks in their glasses, then, is it? Besides, we owe these noble non-drinking folks -- they get us home safe without having to pay through the nose in surge pricing and car rentals (we hope you're not even thinking of getting behind the wheel, drunk). So, in the spirit of partying and joy to the world, here are some super simple, yet, delicious beyond words mocktail recipes for those among us who prefer not to wake up with a hangover.

1. Virgin Watermelon Margarita

Ingredients:

1 medium seedless watermelon, cut into chunks

1/2 cup fresh lime juice

4 tsp agave

1/3 cup sparking water

Directions:

All you have to do is dice some slices of watermelon. Throw the watermelon chunks into a blender and puree enough chunks so that you have 4 cups of watermelon puree. Add some lime juice and mint leaves and mix again. Pour into cups. Top with sparkling water or soda.

2. Mango Mule

Ingredients:

4-5 slices of Cucumber

2 tbsp Honey

3 tbsp Mango puree

3 tbsp Fresh lime juice

3 tbsp Ginger beer

Ice

Directions:

Mix together some cucumber and honey in a cocktail shaker or mixer. Add the mango puree and lime juice, and shake well. Make sure the shaker is tightly covered. Add the ice and vigorously shake for 10-15 seconds. Strain the mixture. Top with ginger beer, and stir before serving.

3. Cranberry Cider

Ingredients:

Cranberry juice

Apple cider

Cinnamon sugar

Sour candy stick

Directions:

This one is simple. All you have to do is rim your serving glass with cinnamon sugar. Add an equal amount of cranberry juice and apple cider. Stir. Add a sour candy stick to the glass to give it that festive touch. You're set.

4. Blueberry smash

Ingredients:

7-8 Blueberries

2 tbsp Honey syrup

2 tbsp Fresh lemon juice, strained

8 tbsp Sparkling water or soda

Ice

Method:

Gently grind blueberries and honey syrup in the bottom of a shaker. Add lemon juice and shake. Add the ice and vigorously shake for 10 seconds. Add a good amount of ice into a glass and strain the mixture into it. Top with sparkling water or soda, and stir before serving.

5. Coconut and Cucumber Cooler
