Businessman Sunder Menon has been missing for the last six days after he was accused of assaulting a woman in Thrissur. The police have not been able to trace him yet.
A MBA student has alleged that Mr Menon had barged into the house and assaulted her after realizing that she was alone.
The incident took place late on August 7 night, when the woman's mother was not at home and her father had gone to buy emergency medicines.
"He was under the influence of alcohol and threatened me. I was holding a phone in my hand and he thought that I was recording him. He twisted my hand from behind due to which my shoulder has fractured and I am on plaster," Parvathi told NDTV.
The woman's father and Sunder Menon reportedly had old enmity.
Police have registered a case of criminal trespass and assault against the accused.
NDTV, despite repeated attempts, has not been able to establish contact with Sunder Menon, a Padmashri awardee.
"We suspect that he could be absconding. We have begun our investigations. Prima face the allegations seem true, " top police sources told NDTV.
