Kanpur:
A 21-year-old died when he slipped and fell on the tracks while attempting to board a moving train at a railway station here, police said today.
Rahul Dikshit, a polytechnic student, was trying to board the Banda Express when he slipped, Police said. Dikshit's both legs were cut off in the accident. The railway police rushed the victim to a local hospital from where he was referred to Kanpur Medical College.
He was declared dead on arrival at the medical college.
A 36-year-old dry fruit seller from Rajasthan was killed in a similar manner on November 16 at the Nizamuddin Railway Station in New Delhi when he slipped and fell on the tracks while trying to board a moving train.
