An important update has been released regarding GIC Scale 1 Officer recruitment 2017! Candidates who have already applied and yet to apply are suggested to go through this official update thoroughly. General Insurance Corporation of India has begun the online application process for Scale 1 officer recruitment. Candidates are suggested to submit their application before 27 March 2017. Though detail advertisement has given all specifications regarding the eligibility condition, still queries have been raised regarding the percentage of marks. For all the aspirants, GIC has clarified about the issue through an official notification.
As per the recent notification, Candidates should note that, "The percentage check to score atleast 60% marks for General & OBC candidates and atleast 55% marks for SC/ST candidates is on the degree qualification mentioned under the heading Essential Qualification for any stream".
Further explaining the norms, it has also mentioned that in case the essential qualification is graduation, then an applicant must have scored 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks for SC/ST candidates) in order to be eligible for the recruitment. Similar is the case if essential qualification is post-graduation.
However for specialist streams (where qualification is CA/ ICWA/ CS/ CS Inter), the qualification requirements remain unchanged.
GIC has announced 33 vacancies in Scale 1 officer posts.
