Two young Telugu men died in the US over the weekend in separate incidents. The Indian government has said that they would take up with the US government the circumstances in which the young men died. The bodies are expected to be brought home by Friday.

Techie Jayanth Reddy died in a road accident in Washington, while Adarsh Johnson's body was found in a pool in Texas University where he was pursuing his MS degree.

"Adarsh came in December 2009, to give presentations and went back in January 2010. Yesterday they said he is missing. After 24 hours, they confirmed that he is dead and that the body is recovered,'' said Don Bosco, Adarsh's father.

The family suspects that Adarsh's death may not be an accident.

"The water level in the swimming pool is only six feet. As the water level is very less, there is no chance of him dying accidentally,'' said Jaipal Reddy, Chevella MP.

As many as 11 Telugu students and techies have reportedly been murdered in the US during the last three years.

Analysts say the reason why there seem to be an unusual number of such incidents involving students and techies from Andhra Pradesh is because of mere statistics. Twenty five per cent of Indian students and professionals in the US are from Andhra Pradesh. As of now, the authorities do not suspect that there is any trend of a racial angle.
