A day after BJP lawmaker Kirti Azad was suspended from the party for "anti-party" activities, Mr Azad addressed media in Ahmedabad.
Here are the highlights - I have got a notice which says that I've been suspended for anti-party activities
- Subramanium Swamy will help me draft reply. There is nothing specific in the charges against me
- I was fighting against corruption in Delhi Cricket Body. Was action taken against me because I raised corruption charges?
- I will file plea in DDCA on a personal capacity. The party should inform me if I had met members of any other parties
- I have been fighting corruption in DDCA for 9 years. AAP has taken up the issue recently, where am I at fault?
- I want specific answer on charges levelled against me
- I would want Modi ji (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) to look into this and tell me what my fault is, I want specific answers
- I am an MP, I raised some concerns & I have been suspended. But I demand that in 3 months the DDCA matter should be solved
- The evidences are being tampered with and the matter should be resolved at an earliest
- If saying the truth is a crime, then I will keep committing this crime
