Security forces launch operation against Maoists near Jhargram

Kolkata: Security forces have launched an operation against the Maoists at Bankishole forest, 25 km from Jhargram in West Bengal.

The joint operation began early this morning after a tip-off that Maoist leader Akash was hiding in the forest.

Security forces have also recovered a claymore mine near Pirakata forest, 25 km from Midnapore town.
