Mumbai:
A sailor allegedly committed suicide on a ship of the Indian Navy, an official statement said on Thursday.
According to the statement, the case was reported on Thursday morning, and the sailor was rushed to the naval hospital INHS Asvini.
The sailor, however, could not survive.
"Preliminary investigations in the case have been initiated and a board of inquiry will be convened soon," the statement said.
Navy officials, however, did not name the ship.
