Air India has reported three technical glitches related to Boeing 787 aircraft in its fleet since July this year, Parliament was informed today.

In a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol, said that after the accident of the Boeing 787 aircraft on June 12, 2025 in Ahmedabad, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued directions to Air India to carry out enhanced safety inspections on its fleet of Boeing-787 aircraft. All Boeing aircraft were checked and found satisfactory by the airline.

Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi referred to a viral video of Nitin Gadkari showing him in a car on a highway and alleged that Assam does not have highways as good as the one in the video.

Congress leader Sonia Gandhi was among various opposition leaders who staged a protest in the Parliament complex over the issue of air pollution in Delhi. Gandhi asked the government to take action.

"It is the government's responsibility to do something, as children are dying. Old people like me are also finding it difficult," she told reporters after the protest.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge was also among the opposition leaders present at the protest.

"Which season should we enjoy? Look at the situation outside," said Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra while protesting in Parliament against the air pollution.

"Children are unable to breathe... The situation keeps getting worse year after year. Only statements are made every year; no concrete action is taken. We have all said that the government has to take action, and we all stand with them. This is not a political issue that we would point fingers at each other," she told reporters.

Three Congress MPs -- Manickam Tagore, Manish Tewari and Vijayakumar, alias Vijay Vasanth -- have moved adjournment motion notices in the Lok Sabha to discuss the rising air pollution in Delhi-NCR and other parts of North India.

Opposition MPs will hold a protest at the Parliament House complex against the air pollution in Delhi as the winter session enters its fourth day on Thursday. Delhi's air quality was in the "poor" category Thursday morning, with the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) at 299.
