Now, BJP plans satyagraha at Rajghat
New Delhi: The BJP has swiftly muscled into the political situation arising out of Baba Ramdev's removal from the Ramila Grounds in Delhi and his subsequent externment. Party chief Nitin Gadkari has demanded an apology from the Prime Minister and Sonia Gandhi and said that top BJP leaders will "sit at Rajghat 7 pm onwards for a satyagraha."

Slamming the UPA government for being "non-serious about crucial issues" and "acting against innocent protestors", Gadkari said the BJP had asked for permission to stage its satyagraha at Rajghat, but if disallowed, "we will still march."

Gadkari said the "shocking" late-night drama at the Ramlila Maidan had "brought back memories of 25 June 1975 when emergency was imposed...the UPA government is on the same road...this government has no right to stay in power."

Baba Ramdev has been evicted by the Delhi Police from the Capital. Late last night, the tremendously popular leader was removed from the Ramlila Maidan, where he had launched a hunger-strike. There were scenes of violence and drama after the Delhi police used a lathicharge and tear gas shells on the Baba's supporters. The yoga expert had launched his hunger-strike against black money and corruption on Saturday.
