Goa:
On day three of the BJP conclave in Goa, BJP President Rajnath Singh addressed the media and the 300 BJP leaders. The biggest announcement he made was the formal declaration of the name of Narendra Modi as the chairman of the BJP poll campaign for 2014 elections.
Following are the highlights of his address:
- We consider 2014 Lok Sabha election to be a major challenge; we are determined to win.
- Keeping the campaign in mind, I have appointed Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the campaign committee chairman.
- His selection was unanimous.
- The entire country is looking towards the BJP with expectations.
- If we need victory then we have to take this road.
