The suspicious deaths of a 34-year-old man and his four-year-old son in north Bengaluru's Chikkabanavara area have taken a shocking turn, with police allegedly uncovering a murder conspiracy.
The investigation revealed that the woman allegedly killed her husband Abhinandan with the help of her alleged lover Vinay. Their five-year-old son Yaduveer, who reportedly woke up during the incident, was allegedly suffocated with a pillow.
Police suspect a fight had broken out between the couple over sleeping arrangements, during which Harini allegedly assaulted Abhinandan with a ladle before they went to separate rooms.
The investigation reportedly revealed that Harini later called Vinay to the house, following which the duo allegedly attacked and suffocated Abhinandan. The child was also allegedly killed after he woke up.
Police suspect the blood stains at the house were cleaned to avoid suspicion. Harini was subsequently taken into custody and questioned, following which more details allegedly emerged.
Vinay is currently on the run, and police are searching for him in and around Herohalli near Kanakapura. Police also suspect that CCTV cameras were switched off when Vinay allegedly visited the house.
The bodies were subjected to post-mortem examination before being taken to the family's native village.
Police are continuing the investigation, with further details expected after Vinay is traced and questioned.
