Kolkata:
Three Air India flights from Kolkata have been cancelled. These flights are:
A fourth flight, Kolkata-Imphal-Aizwal-Kolkata, took off as scheduled but returned without landing as there would be no engineers at Imphal or Aizwal to certify the flights.
Air India spokesman in Kolkata claims metro flights will not be affected. A Kolkata-Delhi flight has taken off a little while ago.
Air India has said that it was trying to endorse stranded passengers on private flights. Or giving full refunds, including taxi fares.
All India Airlines Engineers Association spokesperson said they were not certifying flights from about 11. 30 am.
Seven domestic flights out of Delhi were also cancelled. These flights are:
- 805 Delhi-Mumbai
- 810 Delhi-Mumbai
- 264 Delhi-Kolkata.
Two Air India flights have been cancelled in Chennai. These flights are:
- IC 573 Chennai - Colombo
- IC 448 Chennai - Singapore
Two Air India flights were canceled in Bhubaneswar. These are:
- IC 169 - Raipur-Bhubaneswar-Mumbai
- IC 878 -Bhubaneswar-Delhi
