Himachal Pradesh BJP Leader to Observe Three-Day Fast Against Lack of Development

Nahan: A sitting BJP MLA from Nahan Assembly segment in Himachal Pradesh yesterday announced a three-day fast to protest against lack of development in his constituency during the Congress government.

"All development works have come to a standstill in Nahan area during the Virbhadra Singh government and I have decided to go on a three-day fast from June 12 at Bara Chowk here to protest against indifferent attitude of the government," Nahan MLA Rajeev Bindal said.

Mr Bindal said that he had been struggling for past one-and-a-half-year to attract the attention of the government towards utter neglect of development works in his area but in vain.

Projects like construction of building of Nahan PG college and Polytechnic college, for which the previous BJP government had provided funds, have been abandoned by the present government, Mr Bindal claimed.
