New Delhi:
Senior BJP leader and union minister Gopinath Munde was killed in a road accident in Delhi today while he was on his way to the city airport.
He was rushed to the trauma centre in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Mr Munde is the rural development minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Cabinet.
Several BJP leaders, including Nitin Gadkari and Harsh Vardhan, have rushed to the hospital.
Mr Munde was reportedly on his way to his constituency Beed in Maharashtra to address a number of public rallies.
