Former Terrorist, 3-Year-Old Son Shot Dead At Their Home in Sopore

Srinagar:  A former terrorist from Jammu and Kashmir and his three-year-old son have died after their house was attacked by suspected terrorists in Sopore area of Baramullah district yesterday.

The boy was in his father's lap when suspected terrorists stormed their house and opened fire. Both received bullet injuries. The father died while he was being shifted to hospital last night. The boy died today.

36-year-old Bashir Ahmad Bhat was associated with some terror outfits 15 years ago, sources in the police have said. He now ran a small business in Sopore.

Investigations are underway to find out the reason behind the attack.
