Lucknow:
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has asked two ministers to quit her Cabinet following allegations of corruption and the murder of a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) last week.
The state's Family Welfare Minister Babu Singh Kushwaha and Health Minister Anant Mishra have since resigned.
The Maya government has accepted that there is widescale corruption in these ministries which led to the murder of the CMO.
The doctor community in the state has been outraged by the CMO's murder; two senior doctors have been killed in Lucknow in past six months.
