Arunachal minister suggests eunuchs for VIP security:
Arunchal Pradesh Home Minister Tako Dabi has suggested raising of a regiment of eunuchs for VIP security 'because of their integrity'.
"Even during the Mughul period, Emperor Shahjehan had relied on eunuchs for palace security for their integrity," Dabu told a press conference Itanagar.
Dabi, who had raised eyebrows earlier by defending, drinking by policemen on duty saying it gave them energy, said he had written to Union Home Minister P Chidambaram about his suggestion in February and received an acknowledgement.
He, however, did not raise the issue when Chidambaram visited the state last month, he said.
Dabi had once claimed that he went out incognito at night on a two-wheeler to identify criminal dens for alerting the police.
