Lucknow:
Carrying out a major administrative reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government tonight transferred 53 IAS officers, including two commissioners and 29 district magistrates.
The government transferred commissioners of Mirzapur Shambhu Nath Shukla and Faizabad Sanjay Prasad. Ajay Kumar Singh is the new commissioner of Mirzapur while Vipin Kumar Dwivedi will take over as commissioner of Faizabad.
The government also posted Arvind Kumar Dwivedi, secretary of medical health, as the commissioner of Basti.
The government transferred the district magistrates of Saharanpur, Firozabad, Faizabad, Sant Kabirnagar, Kanpur, Baghpat, Bijnore, Banda, Mahrajganj, Aligarh, Mau, Meerut, Bulandshahr, Bhadohi, Deoria, Kaushambi, Hapur, Hathras, Shamli, Balrampur, Ambedkarnagar, Mahoba, Bahraich, Agra, Sitapur, Pratapgarh, Kushinagar and Chitrakoot, a spokesman said.
