Why does my son have constant wheezing problem?
Question
My 11 years old son has asthma. He sneezes and snores while sleeping and has a stuffy nose with yellowish mucus. When the weather is too hot or humid or cold he wheezes. Even smell of paints irritates his nose and he suffers from sneezing and wheezing. What is the problem with him? How can it be managed?

At 11 years, adenoids normally have recessed, but still may be a cause the symptoms seem to be of allergic rhinosinusitis (with or without a deviated nasal septum). The child will need to be examined and possibly a CT scan done of the sinuses, after that medical and if indicated, surgical management may be advised.
