My 45 years old mother underwent abdomen ultrasound scan yesterday and the impressions were given as hepatomegaly with mild fatty changes and fibroid uterus. What does this mean?

Fatty liver means that there is deposition of excess fat tissue in the liver. There is always a degree of fat deposition in the liver, but it increases in certain conditions like overweight/obesity, liver diseases and conditions like diabetes when the fat metabolism gets affected and this shows up in the scan. Your mother needs to consult a physician to get this investigated.
