Does the drug oxaliplatin cause kidney damage?

The drug oxaliplatin is a platinum derivative with predominant toxicity profile of peripheral neuritis. It does not usually produce nephrotoxicity. However in heavily pretreated patients it might produce these problems otherwise comparatively a renal safe drug.
