Can I have alcohol after recovering from pancreatitis due to gallstones?

I suffered from pancreatitis last year. Subsequently, I also underwent cholecystectomy. The doctor says that the pancreatitis attack could be due to cholithiasis or alcohol. Is there a sure reason to know what caused it? Can I have drinks again?

You have had pancreatitis due to gallstones. In this case you can take alcohol in small amounts.
