Can diabetic patients take steroids?

Steroids can cause diabetes or if someone has diabetes, steroids will worsen blood glucose control so its best to avoid if possible but if not and must can be taken but doses of medications or insulin has to be increased accordingly. Body fat or lipids cab turn into glucose if required by body such as in prolonged fasting state. When glucose is not available as energy source the body fat and proteins change to glucose.
