Gurgaon:
A 21-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped on Wednesday by her former colleague and his friend after being lured by the promise of help in finding a job, a police officer said in Gurgaon.
A case of gang-rape has been registered against Keshav and Karn Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Police Hawa Singh said today.
Both the accused are about 24-year-old.
The victim hails from Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh and has been living in a village near Manesar in Guragon district of Haryana, Hawa Singh said.
The victim said in her complaint that she had worked for a few months with Keshav in an insurance company.
"Now I was jobless and Keshav said he was arranging to find me a job. He called me at IMT Manesar Chowk on March 2 for an interview in a company," the woman said in her complaint.
"I was taken to an isolated area on Faridabad road and sexually assaulted in the moving car," she said.
"We have registered a case of gang-rape and are investigating it further," Hawa Singh said.
