Ghaziabad:
A woman in Ghaziabad reportedly threw her 11-month-old baby boy from the second-floor balcony of her house on Friday.
The woman, identified as Pooja Sharma, had a bitter altercation with her mother-in-law minutes before the incident, police said. The child was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but was declared brought dead.
"A man named Rahul Sharma lives there along with his wife Pooja Sharma and mother, Chandrakala Sharma. Rahul Sharma, a driver, was out of his house at the time of the incident, which happened after a fight took place between the woman and her mother-in-law. Out of rage, the woman threw her son from the balcony. The baby was admitted to a hospital but was declared dead," Arvind Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ghaziabad, said.
The woman was arrested on Saturday morning.
