UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav Inaugurates Haj House In Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: A seven-storeyed Haj House, which will act as a transit and facilitation point for pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh, was today inaugurated by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

The Aala Hazrat Haj House, situated on the banks of river Hindon, has been constructed by the state government on four acres of land at a cost of Rs 51 crore.

Eight to 10 thousand pilgrims will stay in the Haj house for a month or two every year and during the remaining period coaching classes will be held in it and in the one in Lucknow, Yadav said.

Pilgrims will get banking, visa, passport and fooding facilities during their stay in the house.

On this occasion, 1,500 bicycles were distributed to labourers, 31 tricycles to physically-challenged persons and 473 laptops were given to students.

Apart from these, Rs 30 lakh were also given under Samajwadi pension scheme to 2,000 individuals. State Cabinet Minister Azam Khan was also present on the occasion.
