The High School Musical star has been filming TheLucky One in New Orleans in Louisiana for 10 weeks and hassported a buzzcut hairstyle for his role as a Marine,Contactmusic reported.

The 23-year-old actor on his part has convinced theworkers on the film sets to sport the same look and vowed tohand over the cash to local charity Kingsley House.

According to reports about 30 crew members had theirlocks shaved off with participants including two women, whodonated their hair to Locks of Love, an organization whichmakes wigs for sick children.

"He likes doing things for charity - two Make-A-Wishkids came... to the set while he was there - and he felt likehe wanted to do something for a New Orleans charity since hehad such a nice time shooting there," Efron's publicist GinaHoffman said.
