Unreleased Kishore song to be out on singer's death anniversary

New Delhi: Fans of Kishore Kumar will betreated to an unreleased song of the legendary singer on his23rd death anniversary on October 13.

Kishore recorded Ladkiyon ko chahiye woh college meinseekhlein, a naughty, situational song, for Madan Mohan inthe early 70s for a film that got shelved.

And the song will be released on the website of theversatile composer.

"It is a naughty, situational song and indeeddifferent from the Madanji style of songs. The highlight ofthe song is the parody element and the comic performing bitsby Kishoreda, at which he was unique," Madan Mohan's sonSanjeev Kohli said.

"This song, once again, brings to the fore themulti-faceted genius of Kishore Kumar, as well as theversatility of Madan Mohan. We have also featured a snippet ofMadanji singing as he composed this song," a statement quotedhim as saying about the number which can be heard on thewebsite.

The song was for the film tentatively titledRehnuma. Another song of the same film Aaj mujhe jal jaanebhi do featured in album Tere Bagair, released last year inmemory of the composer who gave music to hits like Ayehaseenon nazneenon, Zaroorat hai, Simti si sharmayi siand Rahi tha main awaara that were sung by Kishore.

Ladkiyon ko chahiye... was written by NaqshLyallpuri and is similar in mood to Zaroorat hai.
