Tumahri Sulu:

Begum Jaan. The opening weekend collection of the two films are almost equal -

Begum Jaan was a period piece set during the 1947 partition while Tumhari Sulu is a light-hearted dramedy. Critics such as
Raja Sen panned Begum Jaan, saying, "Vidya Balan is wasted in cheesy film that's hard to take seriously.' On the other hand, for
Tumhari Sulu, Raja Sen wrote that "Vidya Balan
wins us over with a charming film."
