Today's big releases: Kai Po Che! and Zila Ghaziabad

Zila Gaziabad is a gangster film whereas Kai Po Che! is about hope and friendship.

  • The two movies competing at the box office today couldn't be more different. Abhishek Kapoor's Kai Po Che!, based on author Chetan Bhagat's novel The 3 Mistakes of My Life, has already been deemed a hit by stars and industry insiders who watched the premiere.
  • Kai Po Che!, which is a triumphant yell in Gujarati used when flying kites, stars newbies like Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Rajkumar Yadav. Aisha's Amrita Puri takes the female lead.

  • Kai Po Che! had a world premiere at the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival on February 13, 2013, where it was the first ever Indian film to feature in the World Panorama section. Director Abhishek's last release was Rock On.
  • In contrast, Zila Ghaziabad is a political action thriller directed by Anand Kumar, who has directed films like Delhi Heights and Jugaad.
  • Zila Ghaziabad features Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Vivek Oberoi, Minissha Lamba and Ravi Kishan in lead roles. The story is based on the true story of the gang war between two powerful rival groups of Gujjar, which took place in the 90s in Ghaziabad.
