New Delhi:
Actor Sharman Joshi's first solo movie Ferrari Ki Sawaari releases today. Directed by Rajesh Mapuskar and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the film tells the story about a father (played by Sharman Joshi) who steals a Ferrari for an hour to make his son happy.
Sharman plays a Parsi character with a very pointed, sharp nose, popping ears and reportedly gained 8-10 kgs for the role. Apparently, he was cast after a sum total of 40 auditions.
Also starring Boman Irani, the major highlights of the film include shooting at Lord's Cricket Ground in London, actress Vidya Balan's lavani number Mala Jau De and the red Ferrari, which is owned by cricket star Sachin Tendulkar.
A scene showing the Ferrari being pulled by a bullock cart has reportedly failed to amuse top brass at Ferrari, the car company. But we do know one person who enjoyed watching the premiere in new Delhi - BJP leader L K Advani.
