Every now and then, our celebrities are exposed to rumours about them, ranging from bizarre to funny. Actress Tamannaah Bhatia is now on the receiving end of one such rumour. On Tuesday, reports of Tamannaah Bhatia being in possession of the world's fifth-largest diamond went viral on social media. As per the reports, she received this diamond as a gift from actor Ram Charan's wife, entrepreneur Upasana Konidela. Reposting a post by an Instagram page claiming the same, Tamannaah Bhatia has rubbished the rumour with a sweet note. She wrote, “Hate to break it to you but we were doing a photoshoot with a bottle opener and not an actual diamond. #GirlsLikeToClickPics.”

Here is the original post that Tamannaah Bhatia reposted. It contained the caption, “Heard #TamannaahBhatia owns the world's fifth-largest diamond, which is worth Rs 2 crore. This happens to be a gift from #RamCharan's wife #UpasanaKamineni to her,” which the actress has now refuted.
We did a little digging and found that the image of Tamannaah Bhatia with the “diamond” was originally posted by Upasana Konidela in 2019. Sharing the image, Upasana wrote, “A gift for the super Tamannaah from Mrs Producer. Missing you already. Catch up soon. #SyeraaNarashimaReddy.” For context, Tamannaah played one of the lead roles in Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which was produced by Ram Charan.
Interestingly, back in 2019, Tamannaah Bhatia made it clear in her tweet that the “diamond” was a bottle opener. Quote-tweeting Upasana's message, Tamannaah wrote, “This bottle opener shall have many memories attached to it. Felt awesome to catch up after so long, waiting to see you soon, miss u more.”
On the work front, Tamannaah Bhatia was last seen in the Netflix anthology Lust Stories 2. Before that, she made her web series debut with Jee Karda. The actress will be seen next in Bhola Shankar and Jailer.
