New Delhi:

A day after releasing the trailer of their comedy-drama Double XL, Sonakshi Sinha and her rumoured boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal gave us a glimpse of their on-set shenanigans. It's actually more about who's better at scare pranks. Going by the ROFL clip, it is safe that Zaheer had one-upped Sonakshi. Guess who was the duo's target? Their co-star Mahat Raghavendra. On Thursday, Zaheer shared a clip with the actress to show her how scare pranks are done. In the first part of the clip, Sonakshi fails in her attempt to scare Raghavendra, who is seen exiting a building. Enters, Zaheer. He succeeds in scaring off Raghavendra at another location.

“How it's not done,” Zaheer Iqbal wrote for Sonakshi's prank and for his own clip, he added: “How it's done.”

In the caption, Zaheer hilariously wrote about the “bhaaa technique”. Read here: “Bhaaa ka bhi ek technique hota hai Sona (Sonakshi Sinha)… Watch and learn… The stupid stuff we did while filming. Sorry, Mahat Raghavendra.” Zaheer Iqbal also added the hashtags “always got your back” and “leaked.”

Reacting to the post, Sonakshi Sinha commented, “Haan ruk jao… mere paas bhi bohot material hai (Yes, you just wait. I also have a lot of content)” with three wicked face emoticons. Her comment left co-star Huma Qureshi in splits. Mahat Raghavendra, as well as Priyank Sharma dropped laughing emojis in the comment section. Priyank has co-produced Double XL's peppy track Blockbuster.

While Sonakshi Sinha couldn't pull off the prank like rumoured boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal, she has been able to scare her co-stars in the past. We are talking about a clip that actor Varun Sharma shared in 2020. The throwback video is from the time when Sonakshi pranked her Khandani Shafakhana co-star. “Thappad se darr nahi lagta, Sonakshi Sinha, dhappa se lagta hai! (laughing icons)…throwback…good old days,” read the caption.

Double XL is the story of two plus-sized women (Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi) and the body-shaming they face frequently due to notions of beauty in society. The film also marks cricketer Shikhar Dhawan's acting debut.

Double XL has been directed by Satramm Ramani and produced by T-Series, Wakaoo Films, and Elemen3 Entertainment. It will release in theatres on November 4.
